SWANEC was established in 2024 by five high school students from Wake County, North Carolina. As a chapter of Hack Club, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, SWANEC is based on the principle of improving nature through direct action and donations. Our plan is to eliminate invasive plant species in southern Wake County and support the stabilization of native plant populations. Looking forward we aim to create a pathway for future generations to venture and continue along to rid their native ecosystem of encroaching harmful vegetation.
